Michael Boardman, founder and CEO of Readiness Associates, a national consulting firm that helps clients prepare for and recover from natural and man-made disasters, has been selected to participate in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) I-Corps “Spark” program.
The three-week MIT program teaches participants how customer discovery applies the scientific method to the innovation process and entrepreneurship. This course is based on the successful National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) methodology of linking university research with the marketplace. It provides a real-world, hands-on learning experience to successfully transfer knowledge into products and processes that benefit society.
Boardman founded Readiness Associates based on his many years of experience with American Red Cross. He also previously founded and served as CEO of a full-service marketing, advertising and PR agency delivering marketing and sales solutions to high-tech companies, including Oracle, Silicon Graphics, Netscape, Legato and Kabria.
