Welcome to ReadyGlobal! Over the last 16 months, the world and Readiness Associates have gone through a lot of changes.  The new name and web site is the first of many changes planned in the months ahead.  The world is different, and we need it to be different for the world. It doesn’t take much to look around and see that the risks to businesses and people have increased dramatically.

Between the pandemic, shootings, and weather events there are lots of disruptions to our way of life.  Wildfires in California have already burned more land than they did in the same time in 2020, which was the largest ever recorded. We have drought in the west and a hurricane season which is likely to be one of the biggest on record.  If mother nature wasn’t enough, cyber terrorism is wreaking havoc with some of our largest companies and national infrastructure.

Being Prepared

We want all companies to be ready and prepared for whatever challenges they might face globally. The cost of disasters increased dramatically from 2019 to 2020, and it’s likely to increase again in 2021.   In most cases, only about 75% of costs are covered by insurance, and that typically doesn’t include business interruption insurance. Those are just physical losses.  Business continuity may have been an afterthought for a lot of companies or something that was left to the IT department to make sure that passwords are updated. Now business continuity is almost job one.

Organizations are at constant risk for either cyber-attacks, people being out sick, weather, or other things that can disrupt their business.  Companies need to be able to have staff work remotely and be able to recover quickly from any disaster. Being prepared can reduce insurance claims, reduce insurance premiums, and ensure that revenue is not disrupted. Roughly every dollar spent in prevention, saves $6 in actual disaster costs.

Value

Being prepared has real value. It’s just not on everybody’s mind. If you’re wondering how you can get back to work, avoid supply chain interruptions or survive the next wildfire or hurricane, we want to be your partner to help you work through those things. We’ll help you assess your risk and come up with appropriate plans. We’ll train your staff and help you test your plans. And we’ll make sure that you can ride out disasters if the time comes.  We are all in this together.  We would love to start a conversation about the needs of your organization.
